8 LIMBS OF YOGA: THE INNER PATH
Thousands of years ago, a sage known as Patanjali summarized the "big picture" of yoga philosophy into a written text known as the Yoga Sutras. Within Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, the 8 Limbs of Yoga were introduced as a compass for how to live a conscious, meaningful, and purposeful life.
The 8 Limbs of Yoga present a pathway which leads from the outer world to the inner world. And according to Patanjali, lasting transformation and liberation (moksha) are achieved only by accessing this sacred internal space.
Spend an afternoon with us in a casual and interactive learning environment where we will explore and discuss the world of yoga in a whole new way. Dive underneath the surface of asana (movement) and excavate deeper understandings and clearer insights from the soul of the practice.
We will incorporate meditation, mudras, movement, and breath to embody the essence of each of the 8 Limbs in
mind, body, and spirit. No experience is necessary. Beginners are welcome.
Please bring a yoga mat and a journal or something to write in.
