A TWO-HOUR INTERACTIVE WORKSHOP DEDICATED TO REDUCING BACK PAIN WITH YOGA...

Approximately 80% of our country's population will experience back pain at some point in their lives. There are many factors that can be the source of back discomfort, some of them being weakened postural muscles, degenerative conditions, skeletal irregularities, arthritis, pregnancy, too much sitting, sleeping position, stress and tension, etc.

While it is always advised to seek the medical opinion of your physician when it comes to any physical issue, yoga is highly recognized as an effective way to alleviate many instances of back pain by strengthening the stabilizing muscles in the body and establishing healthy movement patterns.

In this "Freedom from Back Pain" workshop, you will learn how to utilize props while exploring a variety of yoga postures intended to support and stabilize the spine by targeting and strengthening the core muscles in the body. Explore what it means to “move with mindfulness," learn calming breathing techniques, and experience well-supported stretches and relaxation modalities as part of a holistic long-term approach to your physical, mental, and emotional wellness.

As yoga educators, Lisa and Kevin have helped countless numbers of students learn how to move well in their bodies through the practice of yoga. They are passionate about sharing their own personal experience and years of knowledge with others who are yearning to return to a greater sense of well-being in body, mind, and spirit.

Please bring a yoga mat and wear comfortable clothing that you can move easily in. All props will be provided.
