THE WORLD IS BURNING

What do we do when the world is burning?
We plant seeds.
We sing songs.
We hold hands.
We don’t look away
Dear Yoga Family,
Lately, it feels like the whole world is on fire.
The news is heavy. Conflicts are ongoing. The suffering is real. It's easy to feel disoriented, heartbroken, or even helpless as the world burns with pain, division, and uncertainty.
In the yogic tradition, fire is not only a force of destruction, it is also a catalyst for transformation. Like Agni, the fire of purification, the heat of change burns through layers of resistance and all that has been outgrown, revealing a still point that lives inside each of us.
Yoga brings us back to that calm center. It teaches us not to look away from a world that's burning, but to face it with open hearts. To stay with the flame, to breathe through the discomfort, and to let the fire do its work. Not by consuming us, but by refining us. When the world feels divided, our community becomes a healing space of connection. When everything feels uncertain, our practice becomes a steady ground beneath us. And when the noise outside threatens to drown out the voice within, our breath brings us back the quiet center. We come back to our breath. We come back to our bodies. We come back to each other.
And every time we come together, we remember that we are not alone.
You are always welcome here. Whether you’re feeling grounded or shaken, peaceful or overwhelmed, we invite you to come
as you are. This is your home. Let’s keep showing up, for ourselves and for each other.
With love and steady breath,
Lisa and Kevin
