Feeling Disconnected?

Updated: Mar 17

You are not alone.

In a world where over 7 billion people have the ability to communicate instantaneously, it is astonishing that we are experiencing an epidemic of loneliness, disconnectedness, and isolation. It would appear that the very tools that were meant to bring us together are instead having the opposite effect and pushing us further apart.

We have become a society consumed by meaningless distraction and busyness without purpose. Endless hours of mindless scrolling on social media, obsessive checking of e-mails and text messages, and cell phone addiction are a few of the most recent major contributors to overwhelming and oftentimes debilitating feelings of stress, anxiety, and depression.

How is it possible that we can live in a world with over 7 billion people and yet so many people feel alone?

What are the missing pieces here?

Human contact.

Intentional community.

Meaningful connection.

THIS is exactly why we have poured our hearts and souls into the creation of Black Cat Yoga. It is our desire to build a community and hold a space where you can feel supported and have a place you can go to connect with real live compassionate human beings, even if no words are ever uttered.

While it would be impossible for you to be separate, given who and what you are, it is not impossible to feel as though you are.

The very definition of the word "Yoga" is "union," a joining together of the limited self and the limitless self. It is through this lens of the limitless self, we are able to see how truly connected we all are, event though we are each having our own unique and personal journey.

If you find yourself to be one of the over 7 billion human beings who is yearning for meaningful connection and an inspired community to be a part of, please come see us. Your first step towards a more joyful, lighter, and connected life will not only begin to produce that experience for you, but you will naturally become an integral part of the co-creative process of inspiring and encouraging more joy, more lightness, and more connection in the lives of all those around you.

We are one.

In love and devotion,

Owners of Black Cat Yoga

Black Cat Yoga began with a simple idea: bring people together through yoga, music, and community. What started with a single class has grown into a heart-centered gathering place for Kirtan, sound baths, and shared practice. Our intention has always been to support people in discovering their own path, and the joy of walking it together.
