DON'T BE AFRAID TO rewrite your story

Updated: Aug 21, 2019

If you are stuck on the same page, remember that at any

given moment you have the power to write a new chapter.

MY OLD STORY...

I am a yoga teacher who helps people find freedom in their bodies.

But this hasn’t always been my story.

My “old story” was committed to memory, which was relatively easy to do because it was quite short. It went something like this:

“I can’t because…”

I had a number of alternate endings from which to choose in order to create different versions of my story, all which fit into the same small dreary box labeled “safe.”

Somewhere along the way, I had convinced myself that I was one of those people who was always going to be on the opposite side of “enough,” that my joy and happiness were completely dependent upon how well I was able to place myself into the world…and, more importantly, how well the world accepted me into it.

my new story...

My physical body is something I’ve spent a lot of time and energy wishing myself out of. I wished away the soft curve of my belly, the size of my breasts, and the circumference of my thighs. I wished away the numbers on the scale, which taunted me. I wished away every “so-called” blemish, shortcoming, and imperfection my mind grabbed onto.

And then one day, I took my first step on my yoga journey; and I began to rewrite my story and redefine who I am.

And as I moved beyond my own perceived limitations, I began to notice that all of these things I imagined to be holding me back were actually the things propelling me forward.

When I stopped perceiving my body as a roadblock and began embracing it as the perfect vehicle to experience my own unique journey within, I not only found my own freedom, but I knew that my own personal transformation had placed me in the perfect position to be able to help others cultivate new understandings and develop more loving relationships with their bodies too.

YOU, too, CAN REWRITE YOUR STORY...

I teach yoga to help people break through the illusion that their body is a barrier to their highest experience of physical, energetic, and emotional health. I am committed to assisting others transition into a greater sense of well-being and a deeper mind-body-spirit connection.

I am a yoga teacher who helps people find freedom in their bodies.

Because I found freedom in mine.
